There are 23 colleges and universities in Suzhou city which bring up to 50 thousand graduates every year, and 200 facilities as such or so within 2 hours’ drive around. The proportion of university students to population is 1.4 times as that of coastal economic open cities in average. To build a high quality resource base and a high-tech finding innovation base in or out of China, Suzhou Industrial Park formally decided to construct Suzhou Dushu Lake Higher Education Town (HET) in July 2002.
By the end of Year 2010, HET has been home of a considerable number of renowned education facilities, specifically, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), HKU SPACE Global College Suzhou, Suzhou Institute for Advanced Study, USTC, Xi’an Jiaotong University Suzhou Academy, Nanjing University Suzhou Academy, Southeast University Suzhou Academy, International College, Renmin University of China, Soochow University, Suzhou Institute of Sichuan University, Suzhou Institute of Wuhan University, Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Software and Service Outsourcing and Global Institute of Software Technology with the current student population up to 60,000.
Professional Training: A training network to cater for high, mid and low ends has been preliminarily formed by nearly 100 professional training facilities based on cooperation with international famous OEMs and training institutions.
Existing training facilities include SISPark Training Management Center, SISPark Training Center, SIP Human Resources Development Co., Ltd., Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Vocational Technology and Institute of Service Outsourcing.
According to the HR policies of SISPARK, certified talents are entitled to relocation subsidy, housing allowance, flexible salary and special subsidies as stipulated based on their specific qualifications.
